Our Story

Hello and welcome to Beaver Creek Builders. We are a residential construction and design firm specializing in residential renovations, additions, new home builds and professional design services. Joel Hahn is the founder and CEO of Beaver Creek Builders. Joel is a licensed General Contractor and a genuine craftsman at heart. Joel has been building homes and remodeling for more than 25 years. In his early years he took pride in doing a lot of the work himself, today he leads a talented team of individuals dedicated to designing and building beautiful and inviting spaces for each of our clients. Joel still makes sure that  he gets to put in work on every single one of our projects and he wouldn't have it any other way. He loves to build and he takes pride in meticulously planning out the tiniest details of each of our projects.

 

Cerise is the Co- founder and creative force behind Beaver Creek Builders. Cerise builds things too. She builds things like websites, and 3D renderings that bring our clients floor plans to life. She assists with colors and materials.  She provides inspiration. She works behind the scenes to ensure everything goes as planned. From design meetings and vision boards to on-site walk throughs and project management, Cerise aspires to make the process as seamless and organized as possible. 

They work together. They go home together. They raise their seven children together and at the end of the day Joel and Cerise are alike in all the ways that matter. Like their vision and values for both their family and their business. They are patient, optimistic and forgiving. They believe in being thorough and doing the work upfront even though they know someone else might still win the bid. They believe in building relationships that last a lifetime. Most of all they believe in staying small and being intentional in choosing the projects they take on. This means that they get to pour their heart and soul into each project without feeling the pressure to cut corners. They get to be on the jobsite, do the work and build relationships that are lasting and authentic. They get to own a business that affords them balance. The balance that allows them to take that trip or  to spend a few extra days with their son and his fiancé before their wedding or to stay a week or two in Iowa when their first grandchild is born.

 

They aren't exactly alike (how boring would that be) but they embrace their differences because it is these differences that allow them to do their greatest work.  He likes to focus on what's right in front of them and plan out each of their days. Meanwhile she shoots for the horizon and paints a picture of where they could be in the next year or the next decade. He lies awake at night solving problems that haven't even happened yet. She sleeps like a baby while dreaming of modern farmhouses, rustic lake homes and Pinterest boards. She tends to oversimplify. He tends to overthink.  They meet in the middle. They challenge each other. ,They love their life, their business and their family. Together they are Beaver Creek Builders
